i did it...

After a particular brutal wave of w/d, i felt better today especially mentally, and physically I could shuffle around my house better. On that note, I made my first drop in 10 months. I went from 17.5 to 17.35, a 1% drop. I'll hold here til after the holidays and reassess. I hope that by dropping, I'll be cuing my nervous to heal and make adaptations in the right direction instead of building more tolerance...and by going slowly enough I could feel better in time, esp. with the damage from the other drugs healing in time also. What do you guys think?

Get out your safety nets and be ready to catch me. This is scary. I totally have PTSD from what happened last year.

The nets are ready but I don't think you'll need them. You are going extra slow and that's wonderful! BTW That is about the cutest avatar I've ever seen.

Re: i did it...

That's a nice small drop, so hopefully you'll be okay. I understand that it is scary, I get scared with each dose drop too, because of my nasty New Year experience. Good to hear you're feeling better.

Started Paxil 2000 for post partem anxiety
Happily on it until it pooped out 2/07
Started cutting down way too fast 7/07
from 20 mg. to 10 mg. and got very sick.
Found PP, went back to 13 mg.
Waited and waited and never stablized.
Began slow wean, down to 7 mg. over a year. Never felt well.
Trashed the paxil at 7 mg. in Aug. '08.

Re: i did it...

Thank you everyone! This is scary, but thank God I found out the right way to taper. Hopefully it will pay off even in my state.
