Remeron and Paxil
Hi,
Is it just as hard tapering from Remeron as from Paxil, or can one stop Remeron easier ? I hate to be on two medications that both can cause a lot of withdrawal symtoms. Michael |

Re: Remeron and Paxil
I'm not sure of Remeron and withdrawal, but any drug that alters brain chemistry will require weaning. Remeron and Paxil both alter brain chemistry.

Re: Remeron and Paxil
I'm currently tapering off Remeron and it is no picnic. I was also on Paxil but I didn't taper properly so its hard for me to compare the two. The best advice is to taper one med at a time and taper slowly.

Re: Remeron and Paxil
Mirtazapine (Remeron) was the drug that I cold turkeyed off (after 6-7 years of SSRIs/NaSSA).
I didn't know what was going on - blind ignorance - but at the time I thought it quite possible I was going to die. Take it slowly and carefully. |
