Weirdly entertaining dreams

I used to have very vivid dreams, in color with sound effects. Until I started taking P and then they got very weird at the beginning, and then kind of stopped.
Now that I'm weaning myself off, the weird dreams have come back. Weird, as in long, complicated, involved story lines. But, and this is the kind of enterataining thing. Very, very realistic - even to the point of taste and smell. I'm not kidding. Good smells, bad smells, pleasant and unpleasant tastes.
Whatever next???

I wake up in the morning and tell my hubby, who says he only dreams in black and white!

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

My dreams were unbelieveably vivid while on Paxil, now...they're just boring dreams.

My dreams were very entertaining while on my full dose.

Diazepam gave me the coolest dreams I've ever experienced, Paxil gave me the terrible nightmares

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

Ambien gave me crazy technicolor dreams, but in a bad, bad way. I hallucinated while I was awake and stayed in an awake, but dreaming state for too long.

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

I have very vivid, long, interwoven, colorful dreams, full of smells, tastes, etc, too, whether on Paxhell or off. Some of them take illogical turns or are very funny, but they are not scary or bad too often, so I love to dream.

Mine aren't scary either, just weird. The other night I was dreaming we were riding in a pedal powered car (must have watched too much Flintstones as a kid) Then we came to this bridge like a narrow ribbon of concrete that arched really high over the water. I have a terrible fear of heights, so I said no, let's not go that way, and we didn't. The funny thing about the pedal car is when I decided I was tired of pedaling, it kept going on its own lol.

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

Have any of you noticed that since coming off Paxil that you spend a lot of time day- dreaming? I find that this is happening to me and I seem to not have any control over this.

Hmm, perhaps you're right. . .
I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. . .

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

I had crazy, vivid dreams while on Paxil and when I woke up never felt refreshed. Now, my dreams are back to normal and I feel much better in the morning.

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

Yes I do day dream a lot. I didn't think about it until you mentioned it. I wonder if that is part of the healing process?

I have not lost any weight at all and hope it will happen, I am so embarassed being so heavy. Hopefully this time next year all will be well.

Re: Weirdly entertaining dreams

Mary,
best not to fixate on the weight thing. If it's going to happen, it will. . .
Me, I never loose weight, so on the very rare occasions when I do drop a few pounds I'm always pleasantly shocked. I have the metabolism of a rock. . .
