restarting paxil (to late?)

Hi
i was on 20mg for about 10 months. I weined off over 3 weeks. Its now been 10 weeks since my last pill and im still struggling.

Im thinking about going back on to stabilise and then taper off very slowly and properly this time.
My question is. Is it to late to go back on and try to stabilise? being that its been 10 weeks off?

thanks

Re: restarting paxil (to late?)

You should read some of the posts on here. There's alot of info about starting & stopping Paxil. I think you would have to very slowly restart the Paxil. Don't go to your previous dose all at once. When it comes time to discontinue.........go slow!!! You did it way too fast. You've been going through withdrawal for 10 weeks? Actually, that's not so long. Can you tough it out any longer? You've come this far? How bad are your symptoms?

Welcome, Cathie!

If your symptoms are affecting your quality of life, absolutely get back on, get stable, and taper properly the next time.

Go back to the last, lowest dose where you were stable.

its defenitly not too late. going back on will help subside symptoms. if you cant take the withdrawal and its too much for you then yes go back on and stabilize and taper slower when your ready.
