Re: Welcome, Kel!

Welcome, Kel! I moved your post to its own thread.

Kel, I understand you're 9 months out, but you're obviously struggling. Have you considered going back on a small dose of Paxil to stabilize?

Some say it's a crap shoot, as to whether it will work this far out. But, I'd certainly take my chances in this case. There's no sense in suffering, especially alone, when you can get back on a low dose, get stable, and taper properly from there.

Nah, you can be here! You might want to search for Tcg's posts, or pm him. He is currently weaning off Remeron.

Re: Welcome, Kel!

We have all kinds of people here, who are on/off/tapering all kinds of these drugs!

But, in order to help you, we need to know what you're taking, what dose, and how you tapered.

You've tapered entirely too fast, Kel and this is why you're feeling so bad.

Did you have a bad reaction from it when you were on 65 mgs? Or, did this start happening when you started the taper?

Re: Welcome, Kel!

Hi Kel I'm Trent and as Laurie and Laurie C have mentioned, I'm currently tapering off of Remeron. If I got it straight, you've been off Remeron for 9 months? You also mentioned that you tapered down, do you remember about how long that taper lasted?

Kel,

I am also tapering Remeron.

The tapering recommendation is 10% of the current dose every 3 to 6 weeks. Could you have tapered too quickly?

I know from personal experience that when I tried to go above this rate, I started having problems. Even though I am ready to taper again after two weeks, I am making myself wait another week to be on the safe side.

Please keep telling yourself that it isn't you but the symptoms of withdrawal that are causing these feelings. This isn't you who wants to die. This is wihdrawal. I am so sorry this is happening to you.

I will let more experienced people chime in as to whether you can still reinsitute a Remeron dose so you can taper more slowly. But please post your tapering schedule so we're in a better position to help you.

Re: Welcome, Kel!

Yes, of course you'll get through it but, you have to be paitent. Whenever you taper quickly off of these drugs, it's a long haul.

Are you taking, or doing, anything to combat the w/d symptoms?

Kel, I'm going to step out and let the folks who actually take this drug and know what it can do, help you.

The less posts and questions you have to read, the better.

YES!
