Paxil gives me a headache...literally!
Well..i took my regular dose and wow....its like paxil gave me that throbbing headache. I guess its like when you take your FIRST SMOKE after not having one for a while and ur like whoahhh.... I'm decreasing from 25.0 to 23.5mg. It seems my body likes the lower dosage except for the usual withdrawal symptoms. I'm thinking this because when i take my regular 23.5 dose i feel worse! I get anxiety and heart flutters AFTER i take my pill at 9pm. No negative thoughts. I'd be sitting there watching tv and boom i feel aweful.
GO FIGURE. I'm thinking I should wean down again. Its hard to say. My tiredness is returning......it was there before i started the wean. I think my body is getting into a rythym again...and making me feel gross. I'm thinking this may be why i may be having the pax-hell flu for 6+months. Whose to say for sure. I dunno what to do. We are all guinea pigs here. I FEEl nausea in my 4th week of a lower dose...almost like dry heaves but not there yet. I know its paxil. I had dry heaves when i went cold turkey 8 years ago *when doctors were even more clueless*. Any advice??

Re: Paxil gives me a headache...literally!
Could you put your signature up so we cacn read your weans?
Am I correct: So you have your first wean under your belt 25 to 23.5 at four weeks correct. You could have actually went to 22.5 which would have been your 10% so if you feel you are ready for a taper you are more than ready in reference to the schedule. What do you think Daisy?

So liquid not available? So what do you think your decision is going to be on your drop?

It sounds as though as you're in "poop out" and the drug just isn't working the same for you any more.
I experienced this when I restarted and the only way to go is down. Just continue tapering, as close to 10% increments as you can, and see how you do from there. Usually, when you reach tolerance and start tapering, the lower you go the better you feel.

Re: Paxil gives me a headache...literally!
Well I know I am definately going to wean down tonight to 20.0mg and see how do i do. It is a slow wean so i'll be ok. We'll see if my nausea and headache goes away when i take the lower med. Gut feeling says to go for it even though i'm scared. But I know i'll be OK. This is good timing right before the weekend so i can rest if i need to.

Re: Paxil gives me a headache...literally!
that's what paxil do. Esp in poop-out when you still taking it but less as your brain is used to. I don't have headaches every day, rather one day in a few, but when i do, it's kinda extreme. My temples hurt, my whole forhead does, even eyes sometimes. The funny thing is, when you hang in, it'll stop itself. But when it's unbearable, i take 400 mg of ibuprophen and it works everytime.
