8 Months Off Everything

I've been off of everything for 8 months. It actually feels like I've been off of everything for longer than that but I guess not. I still have a lot of nasty symptoms...PSSD, no motivation, mild depression, slow movements etc. I feel like I'm in my 60s instead of my 20s. I am wondering about what else I can do to heal myself other than waiting.

After a decent recovery for about 16 months, I ruined it by binge drinking and now I'm back on psychiatric medications but I'm withdrawing again. I'm down to 750mg Depakote ER and .5mg ativan. Please remember to avoid all alcohol and caffeine (GABA affecting agents) forever in the future after you are done withdrawing!

I don't know what you're daily routine is, but start with vitamins and supplements, eating right, light exercise and as annoying as it is, time is the true healer.

You've only been off everything for eight months and Zant, face it, you've been on a LOT of stuff! Give yourself a break and give your mind and body time to heal.

Zant, you are doing OK I think considering the drugs you have been on and the fact that you are at the 8 month mark. I know you must be mad at not feeling great though. Have you tried any supplements?

Re: 8 Months Off Everything

Reki, Acupunture, and self-help books- such as "The Power of Now" may be helpful to you. Has helped me alot, along with supplements (simple ones).
