Another Positive Post!

Well, if I'm jinxing myself by posting this, so be it. I know how much it means to read something positive so here it is:

I'm finally better!! After taking only six 20mg. Paxil pills and six .5mg Ativans, and stopping them both CT, I've had about 9 months of various symptoms: nausea, insomnia, restless legs, anxiety, muscle twitches (6 months of those), chest tightness, back pain, gloomy thoughts, digestive issues....never severe....but now everything is better! And everything got better at around the same time - so, it WAS all related. Improvement has been gradual but now I feel like my old self most days.

I didn't take a single thing (sensitive to so much), haven't run to the doctor, no more ER visits, - just went day by day. Keeping busy and eating right once my appetite returned helped a lot. I prayed, too. (Here's a great book: The Dynamic Laws of Healing by Catherine Ponder.)

So, what happened? Who knows? After a summer of stress and anxiety did my adrenals gradually recover? Did the hormones finally balance? I don't know but since I've taken nothing at all, it does prove that the body heals itself in time.

If I hadn't found PaxilProgress, I would never had known what was happening to me. Whenever I had a symptom, I searched for it on this site, and I always found it. I've learned so much. What a fool I was.

For someone with minimal exposure to these meds, this has been quite a trip.

Hope this helps someone!

Regards,
Helen

Good and I agree with you..the body ..if you allow it.. will eventually heal itself..but we need to not meddle in the process. Sometimes its really, really hard to understand that point when your in the trows of withdrawal adnd will reach for anything to get you out of the suffering.
