Hi Elisa and thanks for asking. I haven´t been here on PP for ages, I wanted and needed a break, but Mike told me about your post. I´m not doing very well and have had some setbacks lately, got quite discouraged by them and lost interest for a while. I´ve had some comparatively decent days and have been able to have a bit more of a social life lately but still struggling with the physical handicap and low mood. Sorry I haven´t been good at keeping in touch. I´ve sent you an email.

Oh Zapp - I'm so glad that you responded and at the same time I'm so very, very sorry that you're not doing well. I sincerely hope that you will get some better windows soon!! It can be very discouraging going through protracted withdrawal for so many years as you have. Yep, the physical witihdrawal symptoms certainly affects mood, especially when they are of such a long duration!! I'm sure that when the physical symptoms lift a bit, your spirits will be a LOT better! Please take care Zapp!!

I called my ISP and they said it was a computer glitch! Zappelina somehow ended up in the blocked list. They said it could happen again. I NEVER blocked anyone's email address on the ISP's email website because I didn't even know how to do it or access it. Now they've taught me how to correct it if something similar happens in the future. DUH

Tapering from 225 mg Effexor XR May 17, 2004. (Equiv. to 60 mg Paxil) Last taper Effexor XR Jan 17, 2006 down to ZERO. Currently protracted withdrawal. Sept 2006: 25 mg Doxepin. March 13/09: 10 mg Desipramine

Paxil/Seroxat 20 mg 2001-2003 then switched to 50 mg Zoloft without any WD problems after the switch. Zoloft later increased to 75 mg. 2004 tapered Zoloft too quickly after sudden onset of muscle stiffness and extreme restlessness on full dose. Severe and prolonged WD problem with a long list of symptoms. Considerable mental but very little physical improvement so far. Last Zoloft dose April 18 2004.

Taper too fast, 300mg Effexor Jan-08 to July-08, reinst 3 mos out. Inc dose to max 450mg, bad sxs, dropped to 412.5mg - discovered I felt better dropping in poop out. Trying 5% taper. Effexor taper: 412.5mg - 25 may-09 391.9mg - 8 june-09 372.3mg - 6 aug-09 353.7mg - 20 aug-09 337.5mg - 25 aug-09 318.8mg - 24 sep-09 300.0mg - 14 oct-09 285.0mg - 5 nov-09
