withdrawal and hyperglycemia

As you can see from my signature, I did a stupid thing and tried to CT off 10 mg. When I realized what I had done and tried to go back to 10 mg, life became hell. I am managing most of the symptoms while waiting to stabilize but there is one problem I am having difficulty with. I have extreme morning fatigue and my blood sugar level has shot up a bit. In the morning, my fasting level is between 147 - 157 mg/dL. I've never been over 10! I have been watching my diet and it seems to be getting a little better... today was 134 in the morning. Has anyone else had problems in this area? Can withdrawal effect blood sugar levels?

Re: withdrawal and hyperglycemia

Dear Joe,

Sorry I can't help with the hyperglycemia, but just wanted to wish you all the best for your slow taper. I found that the plan proposed on this site has helped me enormously and I am currently at 4 mg/2 ml having started last September from 20 mg/ 10 ml.

Keep tapering slowly and posting often - and I hope that you find things a lot easier to handle this time round. All good wishes, xxxxxxxxx

Re: withdrawal and hyperglycemia

Hi Floxed,

I am at 10mgs seroxat(paxil) and I too have issues with elevated blood sugar levels.

I'm so glad you posted this, as I thought I was the only one, so therefore had something wrong with me.

You can pm if you would like to know more.
