Feeling Stable at 20mg. Paxil

Its been almost 7 full weeks on 20mg.of Paxil and Exile and I feel like Im stable. Next step is should I stay on it a little longer or should I start with the taper just yet? Our sex drive is in full swing and we are worried as I taper it will go down again.

Any suggestions?

I am delighted to hear about the state of your sex drive and just wish to hell that it was me too!!

If you feel ready to taper do so, but JUST A LITTLE BIT - like following the plan on here, and don't be surprised if it's followed by a little blip ........ which will go away once your body adapts again to the new dose.

I read the SSRI sexual dysfunction article and understand its the risk you take by wanting off this Paxilhell drug. One thing to look forward to is that it shall all come back in time, I HOPE.

It's up to you when you start your taper once you are stable. If you would like to enjoy being stable for a week or so, then go for it. If you are ready to tackle a taper, no time like the present. There are no wrong answers here!

WifeofExile __________________ Xanax 1mg since the 90's --weened to .50 Feb. 08 Paxil 40mg since the 90's---weened to 20mg Feb. 08 Went C/T off Paxil, severe side effects March 08 Paxil--back on Paxil 20mg April 08 until I get stable then will start taper. Trazadone-100mg for Insomnia, July 08 to 50mg. Effexor- 1 week and off. Activia Paxil-Oct.12th, back up to 40mg
