Question regarding sleep

I was wondering if, even going through withdrawal, the body will eventually crash if its not getting any sleep. I have gotten maybe 4 or 6 hours of sleep in the past 3 days, compared to my average of 8-10 hours per night. My dad is telling me I will eventually just crash into sleep. Anyone know if this is the case? I mean, I am used to at least 8-10. This is my only hope, and that when I finally get that sleep, I will wake up at least feeling somewhat refreshed, and much less anxious (racing thoughts). Can anyone shed some light on this?

Re: Question regarding sleep

Your dad's right. Insomnia is a very common w/d problem, but once you stabilize, you'll sleep.

Again, it's going to take some time to recover from tapering too fast.

Wow. Its scary how real all these disorders are! Getting to experience all this first hand sure is unique! Crazy seeing side effects of Paxil, and basically checking a new one off on a daily basis

Re: Question regarding sleep

When I tried to withdraw from Paxil, I had terrible insomnia. One time I went to bed around 10PM, but didn't actually fall asleep until 6 AM.....then I had to get up at 7AM to go to school. I looked like a drug addict at school....my eyes were tearing up because I only got 1 hour of sleep.

It's a terrible withdrawal affect!!!!!!! It may be one of the worst withdrawal affects of Paxil. I became hopeless from laying awake all night.
