Stimulation makes me tingle
I'm still getting physical symptoms that are always changing.
Some days, nothing feels stimulating, and I feel really flat in my head, just dull. Then other days, I feel somewhat good, but it seems like when I try to do things on those good days, the more stimulation I get, excited, the more my nerves and brain tingles, and really makes me uncomfortable. Its such a strange feeling. Like when I try to challenge myself by doing creative things, or reading, watching a stimulating movie (my body and mind say yes DO IT, YOUR FEELING OK TODAY) but it feels like my nerves are saying NO!!!! and they tingle my brain and body. I want to start tapering, but I'm not sure if I am stabilized, or if this nerve thing is because I weaned down too fast and caused a shock to my nerves, and if its just going to take a lot of time to settle down. I'm worried if I start to taper now, the nerve problem will only get worse, along with the other emotional effects that seem to be in order right now (from the paxil kicking back in). can anyone relate to this tingling nerve problem, and if this is a result of not being stabilized, or if it stays with you even in the weaning process? Thanks guys! (By the way, I am from New Jersey, so when i say guys, it really means guys/ and gals) |

Re: Stimulation makes me tingle
Don't challenge yourself. Your brain is saying no for a reason. It is one thing to challenge yourself to run farther or lift heavier weights, to read a classic or do a tough puzzle (for a healthy, non-w/d person). Those things expand or improve your body or brain. But, this does not apply to a healing person. If you had the flu, would you 'challenge' yourself to run 10 miles? No, of course not. You would rest, hydrate, listen to your body, and heal. You need to do the same here. The parameters are different; this might include not watching movies or expecting too much of yourself. But, honestly, you are not going to expand or improve your body or brain by forcing it to do those things right now. It's just going to make you feel miserable until you heal.
BTW, I have to say that the thread title brought a smile to my face. If you wanted Homer and Tim to reply to your thread, you couldn't have picked a better title!

Re: Stimulation makes me tingle
So, should I wait it out before taper, or is this an ongoing thing that will continue until I'm off the drug for a while? Any thoughts?
