Don't you think its "werid" how complicated and strong our brains are???

For example, for those suffering PSSD...you would think that there is a certain "pathway" of neurotransmitters response for sexual response that shouldnt interrupt by taking certain medication / supplements, that you should just let it heal byitself. But if you think about it, foods contain Amino Acids that act on neurotransmitters such as bananas, coffee, etc. Then you have people trying things like Tyrosine / Yohimbine and docotrs perscribing wellbutrin to see if it works.

And then like all of us, our brains are recovering and you would assume that its a very fragile and direct path for your brain to get all its serotinion back.

But isnt it amazing how everything we take / eat affects these neurotransmitters in so many ways but dont really cause "damage", most likely because the brain / body ultimately returns to homeostatics???

it just seems werid to me when people suffer PSSD and doctors are like well you can try all these different medication and that certain supplements work, but at the same time, trying them won't damage you even further????

I dunno its kidna werid if you thinka bout it. I have PSSD and although i cut out alot of supplements like Tyrosine, Yohimbine, I still take caffeine. and somethings i wonder if the fact that I'm inducing dopamine has anything to do with my recovery....

I know what you mean 100%. Maybe taking these things acts as a bandaid to settle the neurotransmitters down (or whatever they are doing) but upon discontinuing them, you're back to square one?
I honostly just want to go with the flow of life, and how I'm feeling, and not worry so much about how everything is effected by the brain. Its just scary. For some reason, I like to believe that life and feelings are more than chemicals, and neurotransmitters etc, but I guess its hard to beat science. I think we have access to too much information!

i know i have a werid way of thinking

what boggles me is that it seems everything we eat / and possibily supplement with daily has complicated effect on such a complicated organ that is trying to recovery, its amazing that it doesnt affect its recovery since the body attempts to go back to homestatics.
its sorta like we go with the "try and see what works for you method" and then everyone eats different things that has an effect on neurotransmistters but it doesnt really pernament damage the brain.
