Success Story Post 6 Month Update
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've actually posted anything but I have viewed postings once in a while. I'm a little late on this 6 month update because as of today I am Paxil Free 210 days or 7 1/2 months however you want to look at it. Believe me actually counting the days has been very theraputic.
Anyhow, the first thing I would like to say is another thank you to anyone and everyone that started this web site along with everyone that has shared their experiences here. Truly couldn't have done it without this tool and so many wonderful people. As for me I am doing very well. The six month mark had me anticipating too much but it came and went relatively quiet. I have lost 15 pounds which not only has me feeling great mentally but also physically. I still keep a calendar when wd symptoms pop up once in a while just to keep track and also to help me realize how far I've come. A few of the nuisances such as the shocks in my fingers and toes and some light sensitivity come and go but nothing that isn't more than a nuisance at the time. I also started an at home Cognitive Behavior Therapy program in March in order to get the anxiety under control without drugs and I think it has ultimately helped me with both the anxiety I intially had as well as dealing with any paxil withdrawals. Can't stressed enough how this program has helped me plus it's convenient because I do it at my own pace at home. I also take Magnesium and Fish oil on a daily basis. Just a note for the ladies I started taking Vitamin B6 10 days prior to starting my cycle and it has really helped with the PMS which is when the anxiety hits the worst. Don't know if these things work for everyone but they certainly did for me. I know the melatonin suggested on this web site also helped in the earlier wd. So I'm looking forward to the future and wishing the same for all of you and I hope this post can bring someone else a little comfort in knowing they too can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I realize as I'm typing this how effected I was by the paxil and the wd because right now I am crying from sheer happiness that I am able to relay this outcome to you all. Love and best wishes to all.

Re: Success Story Post 6 Month Update
As a side note something that had concerned me greatly while on Paxil as well as during withdrawal was my short term memory problems and I have been so pleased how that has seemed to remedy itself too. It was a scary thing for me because I honestly thought I had Alzheimer until I found this website and realized it could be the paxil and wd. It was so bad in January of this year I couldn't hardly complete a sentence because I couldn't remember the words or what I was talking about.
