Finally beginning my taper

After my last disastrous taper, in which I became an emotional wreck, and after four months of being on 10mg Prozac, in which I have felt robotic and have been jerking constantly but have had nearly no emotions to speak of, I feel stable [same level of crapiness every day], and am finally going to do my first drop to 9mg. The way I decided to do it was to open a 10mg capsule, make a straight line out of the powder 2.5 inches long, remove .25 inches of powder and throw it away, and put the remaining 2.25 inches of powder in an empty capsule using a funnel.

Here's to regaining my soul, to having hobbies again, to being able to experience that long-lost feeling of "fun". Wish me luck.

Runtime-

Congrats on getting to the point where you feel well enough to taper.

As for carrying the actual taper out, I think youll be better served by using a small accurate scale. You will probably find it very difficult to get an accurate dosage by merely measuring the length of the line of powder. I suspect your dosages will be all over the place. The measurements needed for accurate dosages are very small!

And....since I have a scale I bought just for the purpose of tapering, which I no longer need, Id be happy to send mine to you. Just shoot me a PM with your address.

And, as for wishing you luck... you wont need luck! Just solid adherence to the idea of a careful and gentle taper.

That is very, very kind of you, Larry!

Runtime, a slow taper is the way to go here. This ain't your first rodeo, so you know what you should and shouldn't do. You'll get through this just fine!

Its really no trouble...and I think much potential suffering can be avoided by the use of this simple little scale. I know it helped me tremendously!
