A little bit of good news

As many of you know my oldest sister has been on Celexa for some time. When my grandmother died we were talking on the phone (she's in California) and it came up.

I spent some time telling what I know about the drugs and left it alone. She told me this past Wednesday that she started tapering that day. It wasn't exactly what we'd call a taper but she has been off of Celexa for a couple of weeks now and so far she hasn't had any trouble.

Originally she said she had never had any trouble but I know through the grapevine that's not exactly true. Anyway I told her to call me every few days and let me know how she was doing and gave her some things to watch for and some things fro her husband to watch for just in case.

I don't know what'll end up happening but maybe we got one for the good guys.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. It gave me real things to share with her. I could say I know of a lady in England or a guy in Canada or whatever and it must have helped.

Re: A little bit of good news

Wonderful news Charlie. You are spreading the good word and helping others. It's wonderful when we can help a family member. We certainly can't believe doctors anymore in taking these drugs or getting off them.

That is great news Charlie! Sometimes I wonder if we have to suffer to make things easier other people and if that is the case then I am ok with it.

Re: A little bit of good news

Lets keep our fingers cross that she is one of the lucky ones. It is good that she has you Charlie she is already lucky in that respect. I have family members still that are taking AD's so far most do not believe me and I pray they do not have to go thru what I have.

That is good news. I hope that she continues to take good care of herself and looks for alternative ways of healing.
