Anyone ever done a yeast detox?
Hello
Been reading a lot about natural therapies for the anxiety and also my endometreosis and 2 things keep coming up that connect the 2 - yeast and sugar. I have been reading about sugar and yeast detoxing. Has anyone ever tried the yeast programs to get rid of excess yeast in your bodies. Mercury/Sarah - can you help with this? CK |

Re: Yeast
Hi there,
Now you've brought up a subject that I can definitely help you with. Chronic systemic yeast, otherwise referred to as candida albicans, is a very serious and very prevalent problem for many people. I have suffered from this condition due to chronic mercury toxicity from my dental amalgam fillings for a long time. Toxins, heavy metals, and antibiotics can cause yeast overgrowth in the body. Most conventional doctors do not acknowledge this and you have to work with a naturopathic physician. The most important thing to get rid of the yeast is a special diet. You must eliminate everything that feeds these yeast. When these yeast are fed, they thrive and continue to reside within our body, give off toxins and create all kinds of symptoms and problems including depression, anxiety, emotional disturbances, fatigue, etc. etc. In order to starve the yeast, you must eliminate all sugar (including anything with any kind of sweetener, e.g. corn syrup, fructose, etc. You must eliminate all dairy due to the lactose which also feeds the yeast. You must eliminate all yeast and gluten containing foods. Basically, the safest way to do it is to eat only brown rice, white rice, alternative grains such as millet and brown rice puffs for cereal. You can eat protein foods like fish & chicken & eggs. Remember, no cheese. No wheat flour and nothing made from it such as pasta or bread. You can buy millet bread as long as it says yeast free/gluten free. No fruit whatsoever. You can have nuts, any kind you like. This is not an easy diet, but you must stay on it at least 3-6 months in order to get rid of the yeast. Meanwhile, you take natural antifungals to help kill the yeast such as olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract (not grapeseed extract). There are a few good anti fungal formulas at health food stores you can use. Meanwhile you must continue to replenish the friendly bacteria in your gut that the yeast takes over, e.g. acidophillus, bifidus, etc. You can buy live capsules at a good health food store and take as many as you can afford to per day. This will help to replenish your strains of friendly bacteria. I hope this helps. Sandra |

THE BEST BOOK I KNOW OF IS DR. CROOK'S "THE YEAST CONNECTION". I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. ALSO, READ MY POST ON THIS THREAD AS I AM VERY EXPERIENCED IN TREATING YEAST SINCE I HAVE A VERY BAD CASE OF IT.
