Switch from CR to the reg. Paxil

I just made the switch from the Paxil CR to the regular Paxil (cost issues), has anyone else done this and had issues? Maybe its just me???? I have had some major stress last couple of months and some dang sinus issues, not sure whats doing what!

weaned 3mo Paxil free 08/02
back on 10/02 for panic/anxiety
tried wean again 05/03 too quick
failed under doc's instructions
(didn't know it was too quick, I thought I was just screwed for life)
tried to wean again
sometime prior to finding pp-still thinking I'm screwed
06/03 Paxil CR 25mgs
2004 changed to generic 20mg costs less
03/06 back to Paxil CR 25mg-Panic/anxiety
01/2008 start weaning AGAIN
03/2009 Paxil 10mg

A few years ago, during the time I was taking paxil, CR was briefly taken off the market and so many have made the switch. Some have issues, some do not. There are many factors that could be at play. You might try a different pharmacy with a different manufacturer of the regular and see if that makes a difference, bad or good.

I made the switch from Paxil, to Paxil CR, and back to Paxil. I kept the dosage approximately the same (20 mg of regular, 25 mg of CR) and had no major issues. I actually felt better on the regular stuff than I did on the controlled release. You might want to try changing the time of day you take the regular Paxil, or even splitting the pill with one half being taken in the morning, the other in the evening. Also, I've always used generic Paxil, and had no problems.
