Was Pregnant & on Paxil ........

Hi, my name is Princess and I just learned that Paxil is ruining my life and I took it while I was pregnant to make matters worse!!! I started taking Paxil when I was about 5 months pregnant and I am currently still taking it. I have only taken 20 mgs since the beginning. I just starting my journey of "becoming clean" of Paxil. I went from 20mgs to 10mgs for the first time today. I have had a HORRIBLE headache all day. My stomache will all of a sudden kill me and I will start sweating in buckets! I have lost all sence of emotion ... which almost caused me to want a divorce from my loving husband. I know I love him but I can no longer feel it ( I have so much anger right now for the doctor that put me on Paxil while I was pregnant and the one that kept me on it after I switched doctors!! I've only found one article about being Pregnant on Paxil so far. It really has me worried. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it! I am just so glad I finally found out what Paxil has been doing to me and I'm glad I found out before I did something I'd regret.

Hey there Princess, I think you might want to slow down a bit, sounds like you have lots of thoughts going through your head right now.

First thing to look at is why you were put on Paxil and decide with your doctor if its a good idea to quit Paxil now. For me, my original reasons of going on Paxil are over and I'm under no stress so its a good time to go off. Quitting Paxil is not easy as you can see if you've read the other letters in this forum. You really need to discuss your pregnancy, Paxil and other concerns with your doctor.
