GlaxoSmithKline article

I'm sure you've already heard that GSk has new commercials for Paxil CR that do not say "non-habit forming". They said the reason was because they thought it would be antagonistic to do this while waiting for their appeal of the judge's ruling that regular(?) Paxil commercial's can't say it isn't habitforming. This morning's UK Comment Wire had an article on this. I thought the title of the article was funny: "GlaxoSmithKline: addicted to advertising Paxil".

they can say that about any drug company with thier product... i saw a commercial the other day where it didn't even tell u what the drug was supposed to do! Just some women running around with her kids and the guy saying isn't it time to feel better? ask your doctor if (i forget the name of the drug) is right for u, then all the side effects. Pretty soon the ads are just going to be. "Take Feelgoodivan if you want to feel good. Side effects can include bleeding from the eyes nose recum and mouth, painful and violent seizers, stroke, heart attack, and intense tolerance and withdrawl. So get Feelgoodivan to feel good again!"

not trying to be fuunny its the sad truth ... if all these sensors want to amke sure theres no violence or cursing on tv why do they allow all these commercials for mind altering chemicals that cause violence and health problems more then a tv show could possibly... i think they should ban drug advertising, oh but that would mean a loss of billions of dollars of government funding so that would never happen. I hate this country!!!
