5-HTP

I have been off Paxil for 6 weeks now! I am feeling much better physically but some of the symptoms of anxiety are starting to appear again. Has anyone had any luck with 5-HTP? How long does it take to kick in? How many milligrams are you taking? Any information I can get will be helpful. Hang in there everyone!

5-HTP dose

I've been tapering off Paxil slowly for ten weeks and have been at zero mg for a week now. The anxiety is pretty bad, but 5-HTP controls it. I take 50mg twice a day. Also, I read that L-Phenylalanine helps if you're having trouble with word recall or speech after quitting Paxil. I'm in radio and have been stuttering, pausing, and forgetting words since the Paxil withdrawals started. L-Phenylalnine is known to help. I just bought some today and will keep you posted on whether or not it works. At least it's cheaper than the 5-HTP, eh? Now when are the mood swings going to quit? Geez! SSRI's are a lot more dangerous than people realize. I was never like this before.
