anxiety after 3.5 months
Is it normal after 3.5 months off to still suffer from debilitating anxiety? with such symptoms as tachycardia, abdominal pain/cramp?

Re: anxiety after 3.5 months
Yes it is normal unfortunately. Also, considering your history of a few failed taper attempts and drug switches under your belt, 3 1/2 months out is still a very sensitive time.
It will get better...but time and patience are really the only way. In the meantime, are you working on any sort of coping skills? I highly recommend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety.

Have you tried probiotics for your gut problems? SSRI drugs and withdrawal had a bad effect on my gut (diarrhea), and I have found probiotics, especially Florastor, to be very helpful.

Re: anxiety after 3.5 months
Hi Nicole, yes i m working on CBT and mindfulness/meditation, but i have the sense that this anxiety is mostly due to some kind of physiological dysregulation. So i have the feeling i can t get to the core of this anxiety with those techniques. I m also completely lost in life at the moment, 33 yr old college dropout, totally unable to work at the moment. My eyesight is not so good at the moment either although i m not disabled and i have to deal with various body aches...I just hope time will heal...What a bummer!
i m sometimes tempted to try other meds (neuroleptics or anti-convulsants), but i had such horrific experiences in the past...i don t trust shrinks anymore. Lucy: my digestion is ok, my guts and abdominal wall are just tense
