Paxil CR 25 mg

Have been reading a lot about 20, 40 mgs etc. of Paxil. I am on the "new improved" HA! Paxil, Continuous Release. Trying to get off it. Any help out there. Would be so thankful. Molly

I know what you mean

I have been on Paxil Cr 25mg for only 2 months, I tried to quit cold turkey but now I take 12.5mg about every 2 days. I feel terrible. Ifeel like I have the flu, Iam very irritable towards everyone. I have an appointment to see a shrink and boy do I have some things to tell him. Good luck. Let me know what symtoms you have Molly.

well for me, i was on 25mg of the CR.. i didnt have much trouble cutting down to 12.5mg
i basically took my dose later and later.. for example..
time between doses
24 hours
29 hours
32 hours
48 hours is half

this took me about 2 weeks.. i was on 12.5mg as of september 1st..
september 15th i started to feel bad.. i switched to the 12.5mg tablet once per day on the 15th and even though it is the same dose, i felt bad doing that
im still trying to balance on 12.5mg right now..
heightened anxiety if im alone (which i seriously avoid doing right now)
choking cough in anxious episodes.
fatigue
light sensitivity
barely audible (but there) ring in my ears
im emotional as hell right now (i can cry on command lol) dont let any actors know about that or they might try the drug.

umm what else
head symptoms i cant really describe
reduced appetite (not a bad thing)
feel like i have the flu, only not (yeah thats a good desciption)

what bothers me the most is the anxious times as im affraid of the feelings it produces.. it feels intense to me, i cant just pretend its not there.

heart rate sometimes isnt at resting level and basically i feel like an exposed nerve at times. hopefully it gets better soon.. it always does but while youre in the heat of it, its easy to think to yourself that you will always feel this way.

Wow

I hope you feel better very soon, Scott. You sound quite knowledgeable and I have enjoyed reading your posts.

This is only my 3rd day on 12.5 down from 25 and while I have experienced some mild discomfort, so far I haven't had to go through a lot of what you have. Mostly I have the panic attacks that frighten me, even though I try to always tell myself that it is anxiety and to try to let it flow over me. The ringing in my ears was there before I started cutting back as was the nausea. But I've been letting myself sleep as much as I can.

I just wanted to give you a hug. You are so busy trying to help people here and someone needs to stop and give back some of that to you.

i posted this in another thread but i was going to tell you to get the 12.5mg tabs instead of cutting the 25's
You can get samples from your doctor and if cost is an option i can show you how to get it for free
