please answer!!!

hello all!

please, answer me, someone! I want to know if I am the only one who is having severe nausea 6 weeks after stopping paxil. I stopped july 3, after about 4 years on the medication and 3 failed attemps to stop... I was not doing to bad for the last 6 weeks (little nausea, fatigue, weakness, panic attacks, anxiety but it was bearable...) but now the nausea is OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

Is this horrible nausea paxil withdrawal or have I cancer or gastro-intestinal problems???
I am SO TIRED of this feeling... I dont want to wake up in the morning because of that. For the last 5 days I have been nauseated for around 5 hours a day.... I take Gravol but it is not a big relief...

please help!!!!!!!!

Genevieve,
I've had some awfully weird symptoms for sure but never nausea as bad as you make it seem. I would consult a doctor and have things checked out just in case. You say you take Gravol...something I've never heard of...does that mean you've already been to a doctor or is this something you've had around?

Good luck,
Gary/Sad

hello! thanks fot the reply!!
I went to the doctor yesterday... She told me : "you have been off paxil for 6 weeks, this CAN NOT be withdrawal"... Well, I think this can be withdrawal because people here have had problems for 4 or 6 months AFTER taking no paxil....
and she told me "you can take st-johns wort"... I was like "this is for depression, no? and I am not depressed!!! I am Stressed and nauseated!!!!"
she told me that for the anxiety i could take BUSPAR... this is another prescription drug and it dont seems goog so no way!

Gravol is THE medication (non prescription) for nausea in québec... the pharmacist told me I can take one a day for some weeks, there is not problem...
anyway...

have a good day!

Yeah I was also told that "oh you've been off paxil for 3 months you cannot be having symptoms" but I think its a bunch of crap personally and your nausea COULD possibley be from that. I wish you luck trying to find relief.
