Q about Sleep

Hi, so as I've mentioned in previous posts, I had horrible insomnia for about three months. What would happen is at night time, I would feel wide awake and so clear minded (like it was the middle of the day), and I would literally lie in bed until 4 or 5 am until I would fall asleep for maybe an hour or two at a time. About two months ago, this stopped, and I eventually was able to establish a sleeping pattern for the past three months where I would lie in bed about 11 pm every night (after turning off the lights two hours prior) and fall asleep. When I would wake up, I would immediately turn on the lights, and this really worked well.

However, for the past couple of days, however, I've begun to feel that same "alive/awake" feeling at night again. I'm still falling asleep as usual, but I'm pretty terrified about the possibility of a reemerging symptom, one as horrible as insomnia.

What I thought was that through w/d, my body's circadian rythm was screwed up, but through melatonin use for three months and the light/darkness rituals for the past two months, I thought I had sufficiently restabilized my circadian rhythm. Is it possible I have some incurable insomnia issue that will never go away, or what's the deal? This really doesn't make sense to me.

Re: Q about Sleep

It's not incurable, but it comes in waves like everything else when your body is out of kilter.
