My paxil story

Hi folks in a 56 year old male in shape and healthy, i was prescribed Paxil 5 years ago, i was having panic attacks and depression, it worked great for the first two years or so then i must have become immune to it.

The reason im writing is the side effects, constipation, ED , after maybe 4th year of my divorce i just felt better and my doctor prescribed Remeron 15 mgs, its working much better, no sexual side effects and no constipation, but it took almost one full year to regain a normal body functions from Paxil, I didn’t have any problem tapering off or withdrawal like many of the stories ive read but im dancing in the street im off that crappy drug, thank god Remeron works for me and has no side effects or at least for me, oh ive been on it Remeron for almost one year... Just wanted to share my story with you peps

Re: My paxil story

Glad you're off of Paxil and have recovered from the side effects

Remeron, however, can be unpleasant when coming off of, should that be in your future. When/if that time comes, please keep us in mind for support, when tapering.

Re: My paxil story

I well keep you posted thanks.

BTW this forum is a great place to be with people that have a need to use an SSRI. I hope one day to be 100% prescription free, until then I do feel better on this particular medicine, I did learn one thing and the side effects of Paxil were horrible, and probably more so for men, the UD was really embarrassing.
