When does this all end?!
I'm off Paxil completely for more than 1 year and still can't manage my symptoms. I have constant periods of Anxiety and Depression.
since this weekend I've been crying non-stop for stupid reasons. I can't handle my family issues anymore. I can't handle my relationship although I found a nice guys who care about me. Basically, I don't enjoy anything. I don't like my job and people around me anymore. These are the symptoms I had before going on the pills. Now that I'M OFF them, everything is coming back to me and i regret whatever I've done and feel the resentment all the time. Not sure what to do now, I'm tempting to go on the pills again... My life is upside down now and I'm suffering everyday. Hope you can help me with your support and advice as u always did. Thanks

Re: When does this all end?!
What else did you do to addres your anxiety and depression issues? The meds didn't fix any of that. They just masked the symptoms. If anxiety and depression were problems before Paxil, they'll be there after Paxil too.
Both problems respond really well to CBT and exposure therapy. Have you looked into any of that? Get yourself a copy of anything written by Claire Weekes (Hope and Help For Your Nerves is a GREAT starting place). Her "Pass Through Panic" audio book is on iTunes. This is not the end of the world. You can learn to cope with anxiety and depression with some acceptance, courage, persistence and patience.

Also, look for the book 'Healing Without Freud or Prozac' by David Servan-Schreiber. It describes a number of non-med treatments for anxiety and depression. There are many more options that are not in the book, but it will show you that there are other options to try. You need to break away from believing that meds are the only treatment option.

Re: When does this all end?!
How is your diet? I HIGHLY suggest you visit this website and read all you can. I was shocked at finding out how much our diet and what we put in our body affects us mentally, physically, etc. http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/index.php
Since going raw things seem to have been improving exponentially. Given my history I didn't think that I'd be doing this well only 2 months off drugs.

Yes, you still have the original issues that brought you to medication in the first place. So, if you don't do something to combat those issues, they'll remain and you'll continually cycle through medication. And, if that's what you want to do, that's fine too, the choice is yours. We can offer support and advice all day long, but in the end, you have to make the necessary changes.

Re: When does this all end?!
Bina, I highly recommend getting yourself a good talk therapist. Apart from any unresolved issues that you may still have, they can help you to change many aspects of the way you think, the way you relate to other people, a whole host of things. There are many therapies. Medication can help to lift the depression but it doesn't resolve the triggers.
