Hi Daisygirl, long time no talk! Thanks for the encouragement, I am really trusting God through this. I am excited that after two weeks on my last drop I am feeling great. Maybe even better than before I started dropping in July. Congrats to you as well, I see you are almost done. Wow, God is good.

Things have been up and down but getting better and better. I will have a good few days then a few bad ones but the last 2 have been great. It will be one month since I dropped to 9.5 on Monday August 15th and I think I will drop down to 9mg then. I have been using passionflower for the anxiety here and there and a little melatonin off and on to sleep but I wasn't sleeping that great before I started tapering this summer, so that is nothing new. Thanks for all the encouragement. This is definitely a long painful process but will be well worth it.

I went down to 9mg today. My sleep has been great the last week or so. I haven't been needing the Melatonin at night. I have been waking up early like around 6 or 7am but nothing bad. I am excited to continue this journey.

Thanks all I am feeling strangely good even after my last drop 9 days ago. I am not sure why I don't really feel anything since the last drop but I am stoked.

My previous drop to 9.5 was hard because I had this intense anger thing after about three weeks. I also got my menses a week early. I think the taper may have compounded my PMS because I was a monster for two weeks. It was gross. I wasn't really anxious, just mad all day.

Sleep has been bad the last 4 out of 5 nights. But I am managing because the anxiety is bearable. I am just exhausted. This week my temp job is over and I am looking forward to resting for awhile. Last Friday and today my co-worker was yelling at me because I made some mistakes while she was on vacation and it made me pretty anxious. It is hard to work well when you have this taper drama to deal with. I can't wait to be out of here.

I am hoping my sleep will get better as it seems I have a bad 3 days then a good day or two. After a few rounds of this it starts to level off. Looking forward to relaxing at home watching movies all day and sleeping in after this dumb job is over.

My sleep has improved. I slept great the last 6 nights. I dropped yesterday to 8.6. It seems after every drop I have a great first week, at about day 7 or 8 my sleep is bad for about 3-6 days and then I feel great. This is totally bearable. I will try to keep to the 5% every 21 days unless the symptoms are bad and I don't improve by the 3rd week. My anxiety has been non existent this past week but I am sure it's been because my temp job ended and I have been staying home. I love staying home!

I have been doing pretty good since my last drop last monday. I am PMS'ing though for the last week. My schedule gets thrown when I taper. I use to have my womens cycle around the 24th of the month, now it's around the 14th or so. It's hard to adjust to this change and have my regular week of PMS and have the regular ole' withdrawl issues about a week after decreasing in dose. I feel like such a mess!!

I am scheduled to drop this coming Monday to 8.1mg. My taper has been going good minus the extreme anger and mood swings around my cycle. This month I will be experimenting using Apple Cider Vinegar and maybe Primrose Oil to see if this helps my pms any. I was a total beast this month for about 9 days. That is just too long to be a beast. lol.

I had very little anxiety and insomnia this last drop which I attribute to not working right now. It is such a help to be off right now. Around 7mg is where I ran into trouble last year so these next few months I will be monitering pretty closely.

I am feeling great these days. My only problematic symptom right now is the anger and mood swings that hit around a week after tapering and when I have PMS. Other than that I have been doing well. I have about 3-4 days a month where I don't sleep that good but that is not bad. I have had way worse. I am ready to taper down to 7.7 but I want to wait until we get back from Hawaii on the 28th of this month. I don't want to be in withdrawl on our vacation. I have also been jogging lately which I think has helped tremendously. I used to not be able to jog because I would get too anxious after but for some reason I am able to now. I have been experiementing with primrose oil for PMS and Vitex. Interestingly, I started taking the Vitex and my menses came three days early. I heard it's great for PMS symptoms because it lowers your estrogen and raises your progesterone and raises your LH. I am also not losing any weight yet. I remember last time around I was feeling okay until I went down into the 7mg range and that is when all hell broke lose. But this time I am tapering at 5% and am not messing with my thyroid meds and cut out caffeine and limit sugar. So, this time around I am a lot more educated. Plus I am praying a lot more!

We had a great time in Hawaii. The weather was wonderful!

I went down to 7.4 one week ago today. The only symtoms I am having is still the anger, moodiness, emotional lows and depression. I have bronchitis right now and I didn't take any meds except one tablet of mucinex and a hit of an albuterol inhaler. I am learning my lesson and surprised I could take what I did without getting anxiety. I am thinking of changing my taper to 6% drops instead of 5%. Then at 3mg thinking of going to .5 drops until off. I really want to start trying to get pregnant in November 2012.

I just went down to 7mg last Friday. Things have been going well overall. I have been sleeping good and feeling great. I have been eating a lot though and gained 5 pounds. I think it is mostly out of boredom from being laid off. The past two days I have been dizzy at night time so I am not sure what that is about. I will watch and see.... Overall I am extremely pleased with the 5% taper. My plan is to get down to 3mg and then taper by 1/2 mg drops until done - my target is to be at zero by November 2012. We will see how it goes!

I am now down to 5.8mg. Things have been going really well since I have started on 5% drops last summer. My symptoms remain the same - slight anxiety and moodiness about a week after a drop and last for a few days. I have not lost any weight yet, all I do is wanna eat!! My sleep is great, although I noticed if I have somewhere to be in the morning sometimes I don't sleep. I think it's the pressure of waking up early that makes me sleep bad. But I am laid off right now so this only happens a few days a month, only when I have somewhere to be.

The last week hasn't been so good. My sleep has been pretty bad for about a week now. I have been frustrated, angry and having obcessing thoughts throughout the day. I do fall asleep, but it's only for a few hours than I am tossing and turning the rest of the night. When I get out of bed I don't really feel tired which is weird. Usually if I only sleep a few hours a night I am miserable in the morning but I don't seem to need that much sleep or something. I am hoping the sedating effects of the drug are just wearing off or something. I am hoping and praying that I start feeling better soon because I don't want to drop again until my sleep gets better.

I dropped to 5mg today. I have been doing well lately. Main symptom is anger still, lol. I am finding myself more social and emotional as well. I made a new friend at church and we have been getting close. It feels like old times as I was pretty emotionally blunted on Paxil. It's hard to have friends and be social when everything is numb. My friend has been struggling with anxiety so I have been able to counsel her and give her tips like Passionflower and Magnesium. It is nice to have some good to come out of all this. I still feel like I have so long to go, but my plan is to be off in November and then taper my Trazadone quickly and get pregnant.

I had a job phone intereview today but for some reason I got anxious during and after the interview. They asked me about 20 questions on a conference call and for some reason it made me nervous. I don't normally get nervous during interviews. I totally prayed about this job because only God knows what I can handle right now. My taper is most important but we don't have medical insurance and are kinda broke so it would be nice to get this job since it is near my house and all. We'll see what happens....I will hear back by Wednesday.

Marie,

Just want to send best wishes to you re: your job hunting and your taper. Also want to say that I so much relate to your withdrawal experience. My first week is usually fine, too, then week two gets dicey, then week three, stable. Also angry a lot!! Also do not sleep well if I have any early AM obligation.
It just helps to know that this is real withdrawal and I'm not the only one.

The past two days I have been dizzy at night time so I am not sure what that is about. I will watch and see.... Overall I am extremely pleased with the 5% taper. My plan is to get down to 3mg and then taper by 1/2 mg drops until done - my target is to be at zero by November 2012. My symptoms remain the same - slight anxiety and moodiness about a week after a drop and last for a few days. I have not lost any weight yet, all I do is wanna eat!! My sleep is great, although I noticed if I have somewhere to be in the morning sometimes I don't sleep. I think it's the pressure of waking up early that makes me sleep bad. I have been frustrated, angry and having obcessing thoughts throughout the day. I do fall asleep, but it's only for a few hours than I am tossing and turning the rest of the night. When I get out of bed I don't really feel tired which is weird. Usually if I only sleep a few hours a night I am miserable in the morning but I don't seem to need that much sleep or something. I am hoping the sedating effects of the drug are just wearing off or something. I am finding myself more social and emotional as well. I made a new friend at church and we have been getting close. It feels like old times as I was pretty emotionally blunted on Paxil. It's hard to have friends and be social when everything is numb. My friend has been struggling with anxiety so I have been able to counsel her and give her tips like Passionflower and Magnesium. It is nice to have some good to come out of all this. I still feel like I have so long to go, but my plan is to be off in November and then taper my Trazadone quickly and get pregnant. I had a job phone intereview today but for some reason I got anxious during and after the interview. They asked me about 20 questions on a conference call and for some reason it made me nervous. I don't normally get nervous during interviews. I totally prayed about this job because only God knows what I can handle right now. My taper is most important but we don't have medical insurance and are kinda broke so it would be nice to get this job since it is near my house and all. Also want to say that I so much relate to your withdrawal experience. My first week is usually fine, too, then week two gets dicey, then week three, stable. Also angry a lot!! Also do not sleep well if I have any early AM obligation.
