I want out!!!

I have been watching this forum for about a month now and I first need to say thank you - thank you for having the courage and taking the time to share your experiences. I want to be off this drug so bad....

I was prescribed Paxil for relief from frequent migraines. I must admit, the Paxil did help. I was put on 20mg and my migraines went bye-bye. I stayed on Paxil for about a year and half, but decided that I had enough this summer. I had gained tons of weight, I was very lazy, and I wanted to be drug free. I cut my 20's in half and took tens for about two weeks. I felt fine, so I stopped taking the 10's. BIG MISTAKE!!! My life became an absolute hell. I wanted to kill myself, I felt completely worthless, couldn't sleep - I kept telling my wife to leave me - insane! I tried to tough it out, but I just couldn't do it. After 4 weeks I started taking 10 again. Well, I didn't really feel any better - still anxious, depressed, no sleep - so I started taking 20mg again. I am really depressed about having to go back on this stuff, but I couldn't handle it any longer and I was worried I was going to lose my job (work was next to impossible). I am going to try again, but I am very afraid. My first experience was absolute hell. Lucky for me, I have an incredible wife who is so amazingly loving and supportive, so with her help I am determined to make it. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy - what an awful feeling!!! Thanks to the help and experiences posted here, I think I can do it without failing again. I just need to take it very slow and never look back. I hope I can do it...

Gone away

To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
