At the peak of my anxiety after quitting Paxil I was listening to the album Grace Under Pressure by Rush. Brought back a lot of happy memories of my teenage years.

I just made a compilation CD with a whole bunch of stuff on it.

Music is the thing, that once I started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, is making the ride towards the light a lot more fun.

I tend not to listen to music I really enjoy when my anxiety is peaking I don't want good music to be associated with bad times. Silly I guess.

Jazz...Jazz...Jazz

If you want some really wonderful sounds, listen to Roy Hargrove, Don Ellis, Vintage Tony Bennet. There are so many pieces that put you in the right frame of mind.

I am a jazz and standards fanatic and listening to that type of music always makes me feel better.

I like :

Enya - Only Time Album

Anything by Sarah McLachlan

Mike Oldfield (Songs of distant Earth and Tubular Bells 3 are awesome)

Yanni

Yes - I am waiting

Lots of Pink Floyd

Enigma anything

Eminem - Lose Yourself

Trapt - Headstrong

Norah Jones anything

My own ( I sequence on a Roland XP-60, you can sample me at http://www.paxilprogress.org/research/multimedia.php )

And so on. Lots of variety. I look for music that either soothes, speaks the truth so loudly I resonate or just makes my body want to slither around the kitchen to get ma groove on hehe. I'm a music junkie, it runs through my blood. Actually won some dance contests waaaaaay back in the day. Hip hop no less. Breakdance roots.
