Praying the rosary & obtaining miracles

Hi everyone,

After I lost my ex-boyfriend to SSRI's, I have been doing a lot reading on this forum. I have read so many posts from either individuals that are suffering from the effects of these SSRI's or spouses, friends, family that have been torn apart with these drugs. It really, really troubles me to see how many people have been hurt by these drugs - both directly and indirectly.

I think the worst part of going through this is feeling like you are powerless and that there is nothing that you can do to change the situation. I was feeling really down the other day and in the mist of searching for answers on the internet, I stumbled across a website were individuals have provided their personal miracle like stories from saying a prayer called the rosary. http://www.erosary.com/option,com_mi.../Itemid,83.htm

I know that people on the forum are of many different religious backgrounds,
but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me in saying rosaries for all those on the forum that are dealing with SSRI situations?

I guess at least with giving this a try, I feel like I am trying to do something to help....as opposed to just idly sitting around watching and hoping for the best.

Re: Praying the rosary & obtaining miracles

I enjoy saying the rosary, and I have the beads somewhere in the house. I never do it, though, because it is the one non-narcotic thing that I do that will put me right to sleep! The next time I try it, however, I will join my prayers with yours. This is a lovely thought you have had, and I think it will be beneficial, too. xoxoxoxoxo

I enjoy praying the rosary as well. Pat, I have the same problem with it...I can hardly get thru the entire rosary without my head nodding! I used to use it for meditation purposes as well, its very theraputic and relaxing...not to mention powerful.

I did it this very morning, as a matter of fact. It was getting close to 4 a.m. and I couldn't sleep even after taking a Benadryl, and I didn't dare take more medication, so I started in on the Rosary. I started it out of order, starting with a "Glory Be", and I don't even remember getting to a "Hail Mary". I do remember thinking of Stations of the Cross in a pretty church I have been to, which I have never done (adult convert in 1983), and next thing I knew I was waking up around 10. So I guess it would be a really good thing or maybe even a sacrifice if I could ever finish a novena for any petition or thanks! I don't think that's ever going to happen.

I had a lovely rosary with faceted brown garnet beads set in and connected with sterling silver; I sort of inherited it from my mother-in-law when she died, and it was the first one I ever used. My rotten son (fifth grade at the time) stole it, or let one of his friends in the house who stole it. Lots of my stuff was disappearing in those days. I had a fabulous straw cowboy hat that I had gotten in Mexico, and a digital Casio watch that played around 23 tunes, and when they disappeared my son said one of his friends must have stolen it. Because I loved him and I was naive, I believed him; looking back I think that he is the culprit. But I digress. . . .

Ave Maria, gratia plena . . . .zzzzzzzzzz and no, I can't say it in Latin
