opened liquid 5 weeks - safe?

Obviously as the doses get lower i am finding that i am still using the same liquid after 28 days. The info says to bin the bottle after 28 days.
A few weeks ago by mistake i opened a second bottle by accident. I closed it back up and have just started to use it today.
Basically is is safe to use liquid if it has been opened for more than 28 days?
I am now squirting it direct into my mouth as opposed to measuring it then pouring it into that little cup you get with the bottle. For some reason by putting the syringe straight into my mouth it takes stronger.

I think you should ask a good pharmacist about the bottle you accidentally opened and reclosed.

Pharmacists generally know more than doctors about very slow tapering, but they should know when and under what conditions a medication could lose potency or be unusable in any way. I doubt that anyone here would know enough about that to give you reliable information.

I took one dose yesterday then today i binned it; almost a full bottle! Opened a new bottle.

Hello everyone
When the prospect of a drug indicates that once opened should be used in the period of X days indicates that you an elapsed time this time, the principle asset (in this case paroxetine) starts to degrade and formed impurities (is like an expiration date).
From here the mg of paroxetine decrease and the impurities increase (many impurities can become toxic) and we would be taking a lower amount of paroxetine.
Once opened the jar, is zero time for the start of degradation (time that we put it in contact with the oxygen in the air).

I totally understand. I feel like I ask the same questions over and over again because I am so paranoid.

I've been using the same bottle for almost two months......I don't think it should be a problem.
