Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
It's not an unusual symptom at all. Many people, including myself, had this during w/d.

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
I had this many times during withdrawal and during my worst waves. It drives you crazy sometimes but it's pretty harmless.

If it was just songs stuck in my head all the time, I'd be happy

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
That happened to me even without drugs. It's called an "ear worm". The only antidote I have found is a song of equal or lesser power such as Disney's "It's a small world".

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
But I LOVE having a song in my head! They are always there, I wake up with one. They keep me company and make me feel happy. The only time I did not like it was one day last summer when the 'tune de jour' was Copa Cabana - yuck ....

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
I get songs stuck in my head all the time, and I'm long past withdrawal. For some reason it's usually an annoying one that I don't even like.

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
I think everyone gets this.
A friend of mine regularly posts what her one for the day is on Facebook - which means everyone else starts hearing it too. Over here, they recommend singing "God Save the Queen" to get rid of it. It does work, but it's tough going for a staunch republican like me!

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
I've had this all or almost all my life. Even as a kid.
In fact, I had it much, much more when I was a kid - and not on any medications. (Hmm... except antihistamines, that is.) But now I'm having trouble getting Barry Manilow (Copacabana) out of my head. Sheesh. Don't fall in love, don't fall in love...Oh, I so don't need that right now. (You don't want to know...) ![]() Quote:
(Not suggesting what you should change them to. That's up to you. But I'm hearing it in that deep Richard Burton voice lol.)

Re: unusual symptom: song stuck in head
TTGW - Your love for RB is a wonderful thing. Sadly, if you ever heard me speak you'd be sadly disappointed. We don't all talk like that if afraid. Quite a lot of us drink like RB mind, but not me!
