paxil to prozac yikes
Hi, long time no post everyone.
New shrink with my agreement has agreed to try prozac as the paxil(paroxetine here in uk) is doing nothing for my depression,huh took 10 yrs on it to figure that out. So this taper that I got goes like this 30mg to 20mg for 3 days.Then 10mg with 20mg prozac added in for three days.then 20mg prozac alone. Opinions from anyone most welcome. thx.....C. |

My doctor did something similar, but over three weeks and it did not go very well. May want to try a longer duration.

Paxil Dec 1999 - Nov 2011 20mg for most of that time then 40mg for the last couple years. Fast tapper to Prozac Oct-Nov Prozac 40mg 2mg Colozapam Seroqel 50mg Jan- mid Feb, and 100mg since then. |

Yeah, way too short of a taper after 10 years of use. I would taper over a one-year period.
