Testosterone bloodwork results.
Got my results back today and here is what we got. Last year I had my bloodwork tested twice for testosterone. First test came bck 295 total then I treated with the lowest dosage of gel they had and returned months later to get a 293 total. I am now off paxil and just had my blood re ran the other day and now have a total of 495. This is a fasting test and the results reflect me not treating myself with gel. I haven't used that gel in forever and really only used it for like three months when they thought that was what was causing my loe energy levels and weak strength.
So there you have it the proof is in the pudding. The last thing that will be great is to see this blood work come back with the cholesterol results. |

Re: Testosterone bloodwork results.
I have been off 5 months and 20 something days. There is no doubt in my mind paxil caused this to me. I can say that I never had sexual side effects when it was that low which I am thankful for since that is common with low testosterone and SSRI use so I feel lucky there.

Yup, been on T shots for years now - I'm hoping once I'm off Paxil I'll end up with some 'surprising' results such as yours too, and be able to drop the dosage or come off them

Re: Testosterone bloodwork results.
That's reassuring to see a real number that reflects how much these drugs can do to the rest of our body systems! Lord only knows what else is affected. It actually gives me hope because the body is so complicated it makes perfect sense that it would take a long time, yes even a year or more to return to normal. Pregnancy took me over a year to fully get back to "normal" from, from weird joints to hormonal stuff to hair and even my fingernails changing...and having a baby is natural. Good for you getting the tests done and glad your results are good!
