Day 7 Cold Turkey 25 Cr
Life is still a living hell.....I cant sleep....I try and i try but i cannot sleep....First i tried Tylenol PM taking 2 at a time then getting frustrated trying 3 at a time with no luck....Moved on to Unisom with no luck at extra strength....Last night i got a hold of some drug called Ambien, so many good people said it would work ...No luck
I made a mistake not tapering off but i dare not to even look at a Paxil Cr bottle... My stomach is so bad....from the Tylenol no doubt.... Only thing that has improved is when i first wake up after finally falling asleep and never reaching deep sleep i wake up kind of zap free....for almost an hour i feel like my old self...but as the day passes i fall back into the zapping nightmare...Zapping? that’s such a mild term for it ..I think of it as Satan Zaps... I swear if there is a hell you would find yourself in a chair for eternity with your brain zapping while satan laughs ..... I can only pray they go away soon...I know for a fact i wont last more then another week like this without doing something dramatic... Thanks all for being here and feeling my pain.... Love ya all PS: CR + Y = CRY |

Fish oil, fish oil, fish oil. Try that. It might not help you sleep but it seems to oil the machinery, as it were. 8000 mg a day. I think I mentioned to you that sleeping when I wanted to helped, but if you can't sleep, then my suggestion isn't going to help you. One other thing that helped that I would recommend - I unplugged any noisemakers (particularly the telephone) and sat motionless in my comfy chair for hours and hours for a couple of days. That helped to decrease what you are describing. About two weeks into it (read the previous posts somewhere) I was up from Saturday morning to Monday morning, and then the Ativan (0.5 mg or 1 mg, I forget which) helped me sleep and the worst was over. One other thing that helped me that I would NOT recommend is this weekend for two nights in a row I took one-quarter Vicodin tablet to quell the sleep zaps, relax the muscle tension, and get rid of the body pain. I felt pretty good by this past afternoon.

Im on day 19 off cold turkey, Id been feeling fine (no zaps) last thursday and friday but they came back over the weekend. Nothing too bad, just when Id start to get tired in the evenings I had a few. It may have had something to do with me not doing much of anything all weekend...can we say NBA 2004 on ps2? I dunno, Im just gonna give it a few months for everything to stabalize. Ive found that drinking is a very bad thing at this stage. I had some friends over friday night and I had a few beers for the first time since about my 4th day of withdrawals from paxil.....wow. I got quite ill to say the least.

Jawirie... i am on day 4 cold turkey (20mg) and I found by accident that taking a benedryl before bedtime knocked me out, so much so, that I didnt wake up once in the middle of the night, nor did I feel any zaps! I am not a Dr, so I dont know if its ok to take the Benedryl, but you might ask your Dr if that would be something safe for you to try to help you sleep. Good Luck!

Good rule of thumb with medications is not to mix them without a doctor's and/or pharmasists full knowledge, and approval. You never know what might happen.
