I just found it today. It may answer some of the questions regarding this important Amino Acid.

This is not the first article

That I've read on L tryptophan. The idea here is that this needed supplement was used for years to treat depression prior to the mind altering drugs that we now take today.

This is a supplement. An Amino Acid. One that makes up a complete protein. Nothing more. It has a calming effect and is much safer than treating depression in those who think they may have low seratonin. Period.
