Waves of Nausea

I know I have read several posts where it is mentioned that nausea might be a symptom of withdrawal. I am have been experiencing it quite a bit over the last few days.

Can anyone recommend any over the counter product or method that relieves it?

Any direction would be grealty appreciated!

ginger or ginger capsules are supposed to be good for that.

Thanks, Scott. Now it makes sense why my Mom, the RN, always gave me ginger ale for an upset stomach.

You are talking to a nausea expert! well, with nausea almost everyday for 6 months, I had to be an expert!
I think ginger is good but for myself I CANT STAND IT. I JSUT HATE IT!!!! I took GRAVOL (works really great but makes you want to sleep-but I would be sleepy over nauseus anytime!!). Crakers and flat 7up was great too. Walking, dancing, fresh air are other solutions...
hang in there. there is an end to this nausea!!!!

Having suffered chronic nausea since childhood, I have become the queen of nausea suppressors.

- Ginger is key. I like crystallized ginger - goes down easier. I also have ginger candy (Gin-Gins from the Ginger People), ginger supplements, and ginger extract (great in tea). Check out www.gingerpeople.com

- If you're dizzy with your nausea - as I frequently am - good old Dramamine usually does the trick.

- Emetrol liquid - I prefer cherry.

If all else fails I suggest getting a prescription. I take Zofran because I'm allergic to everything else. It has made a world of difference.

Good luck.

Been through major nausea a couple of months ago after open heart surgery...I took Bonine (I think that is how it is spelled) which is for motion sickness...Worked quite well...
