Day 6

Hi everyone - Day 6 off prozac (still taking valium).
Feeling exhausted and quite shaky. Spaced out I suppose and generally uneasy. Going to try and get some rest over nxt few days if possible and TRY to practice the CBT. (Hasnt seemed to help today but I know this is a long term thing.)

Emotions all over the place. Very upset on tueday when found out that a colleagues wife (who was only 34) only had hours to live yet when she actually died yesterday morning I seemed incapable of feeling any grief - even though I knew that deep down I feel so devastated for him and his little boy who is only 2 1/2. She was a wonderful person and had been battling breast cancer for 2 years.

Then today burst into tears when one of my little boys scored a goal at his first football club. (Bearing in mind that the 'goalie' was only 5 we're not exactly talking David Beckham.)

Hope you're all ok.

Hi kizzie!
6 days with no prozac.. ok, you are still adjusting to not having this drug in your body. Take it easy. Dont make any assumptions for the future right now. I would give myself at least a month to "stabilize" before I make the next step. I think you are doing wonderful : look at you, you are off paxil for months and you only take valium rigth now. This is great
CBT is a great thing. I try to practice it everyday but I think we will see the effect of it in months, not in days!!!
you can do it, we are with you!!!
have a nice day

Thanks for the message Genevieve. The evenings are quite bad at the moment and wish I could be more confident about being able to stay off but still trying!

Kizzie, I have no idea why, but the evenings were always the worst for me. If I was going to have a bad time it was always between 7 & 10pm. Probably because for most people this is the "wind down time". You are doing great. We are all rooting for you. Keep going.

You know what to do.

What a long road for you. Very inspiring that you made it!
