anybody of the other women on here .......

thinking that you might have been premenopausal and was put on this crap instead of being told you can start going into menopause up to 10 years before you actually hit it?

This is what has my hide ripped! Why don't doctors tell women this? They immediatly say we are depressed and anxious (which goes along with premenopause)!

I look at all the info about premenopause and think DUH...why couldn't a doctor figure this one out and put me on something for it??? Or tell me that's what it was and let me deal with it????

My Mom went in to see the doctor about being a little depressed. she couldn't get in to see her normal Doc, so took an appointment with someone she'd never seen before that worked in the same office. The Doctor tried to put her on an antidepressant because she is starting menopause... she refused the anti-depressant, told him to do some tests, and it turned out she had a bad bladder infection...

The Doc prescribed her something for the infection, but kept pushing the anti-depressant...

Once the Bladder infection was cleared up, she was fine. My mom now refuses to see any other Doc, but her normal one. She's also taken to calling the other Doctor "The Nazi Pill Pusher".

So yes, I can honestly believe that there are doctors out there that would Pills on Women who are Premenopausal. I mean, after all, Paxil is the miracle cure all pill isn't it?

It's easier to push pills then do the leg work. Sorry to hear that you may have been one of the unfortunates to have to go through this.

Hugs,
Andi
