zaps every few seconds....
ok... i'm new to this site, and thank god i found it... i just finished reading the paxilprogress booklet and cried the whole way through because i'm a freaking emotional train-wreck and the thought of someone knowing what this feels like made me almost fall out of my chair, i was so overwhelmed with comfort and relief. so thank you all.
anyway, i guess i didnt wean myself properly.... i was on 25 mg of paxil cr, and went to 12.5 for about 2 weeks, then went to like 6 mg for 4 days, and i couldnt take dragging it out any longer... so i quit it altogether. (not to mention wellbutrin xl 300mg, i went to 150 mg for a week, then quit that altogether on the same day.) oops. yeah, i'm feeling it. i can't move my eyes with out the zaps... so its every few seconds... i can't walk in a straight line. i can't stop crying. immodium is my new best friend. hot flashes and dizziness.... i'm terrified to go to work. i dont know what to do. i dont want to go back on, because i dont want to drag it out... i want to be done with it. does anyone have any suggestions, or know how long this will last? thanks for listening. |

I don't know what to tell you to reassure you. Everyone is so different.
I was pretty much weaned off as quick as you......... and it took 10 days for the symptoms to kick in. After that, I was pretty much flat on my back for 2 weeks, and then not a whole lot better for another 4 weeks. Dramamine (gravol) helped, I wish I would have thought of immodium. It took 6 weeks for thing to get 'solid' again. I have been symptom free for 10 days now (yay) except I am feeling fluish with PMS (I read here that the sypmtoms can return for that time of the month) Get lots of rest, drink TONS and I mean TONS of water. Try to get to a health food store and pick up some milk thistle to help your liver rid itself of this crap. Be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best is the best advice I can give. Oh, my best friend for weeks 4-6 was a bottle of advil and a heating pad (for those neck/head pains that sent me through the roof) please keep us posted, be strong, this is a fab bunch of people who will help you get through this. I am such a ***** and if I can do it, anyone can. (((gidleon)))

I've been doing fine ten days off of a super-low weened dose and I'm still feeling kooky. Like whenevere I turn my head to quick I get zapped. Not too bad, but it just goes to show how it stays with you.

LOL if that hug made you cry, you better not watch any TV.
Trading Spaces made me literally SOB when I watched it during that time.
