valium withdrawal after paxil withdrawal
When I switched from paxil to prozac 9 months ago I had to start valium because of the severe panic attacks.
Tried to stop at christmas but anxiety too bad. Now 4 months off prozac but 2 months on clomipramine (tricyclic.) Am trying to come off the valium but cant any info re. reducing from a relatively small dose. (Ive looked at all the websites but the advice is mainly from high doses). The most Ive taken is 10mg per day but that was only for a few days. Ive mainly taken about 3 mgs. I took 2mgs for 11 days, then 1 mg for 11 days and now 1/2 mg (planning to take for 11 days) - then to 0. I have got increased anxiety but dont know if this is something just to put up with? Does anyone know if that is an ok schedule to reduce from low dose. Thanks Kizziex |

You can try to slow down the taper. I tapered every 4 weeks and it took me some months before getting to 0. Did you visit web site: www.benzo.org.uk ? Hope it helps you.

paxil rage
Kizzie,
I stopped the xanax and ativan cold turkey and I went through a week of hell. I had anxiety and headaches and bodyaches. It was a low dose as well. Ended up taking the stupid sleeping pill but to get off that I got a pharmacy to make liquid compound and I weaned that way. It was still difficult even so. You might need to call around and see if you can find a pharmacy that will make a liquid. It may come in a liquid as well. I thought I was making some headway with this drug and then got the pneumonia. I was having trouble breathing and was put on that stupid antibioitic which really let out a whopping dose of insomnia and anxiety. I had to go back on the stupid sleeping pill because after 3 days of no sleep I was literally going crazy. On top of it I've lost 5 lbs. Proud to say I am at my prepaxil weight. Kizzie, if you can get the liquid valium taper off that way and take a month or two to get off that. Use a syringe to measure. Our bodies are just not made for this stuff. Holy smoke, sometimes I wonder how much a person can live through.

Body rejected all drugs except benzos. Currently off all drugs. Not quite 100% yet, but working towards getting there. |
