More sex problems on paxil
okay so i was taking 37.5mg a day of paxil and couldnt stay hard for the life of me.. stopped taking it for about a week then started getting withdrawal symptoms so i started taking 12.5mg a day for only 2 days and still had sexual dysfunction so i stopped taking it all together again.. i have only been off of it for 3 days but i am able to masturbate without problem but sex with my gf i still cant stay hard, even without a condom.. how long until my sensitivity should come back, or does this sound like a problem not related to paxil. thanks

how long does it usually take.. me and my gf are extremely frustrated at the moment.. she is worried she is doing something wrong and refuses to believe that this medication has desensitized me

I too have always had problems while on Paxil. I was able to have sex but was not always fully aroused. I found that Enzyte actually worked very well to help increase my stamina and "hardness." Even my wife noticed a difference while taking the Enzyte.
I am in the midst of stopoing the Paxil now (for the umpteenth time) and I always have very interesting side effects in terms of my libido. I find I am much more easily aroused but I cannot last. Sex turns into a very quick event. It's actually rather funny and my wife finds it amusing. I'm hoping it goes away a bit as I get further off of the drug. I seems like my wife can just smile at me and I'm done  . Good luck. I really don't know if Enzyte would help but it doesn't hurt to try. I also tried Viagra but didn't respond to it. jim |

i had no problems on 12.5 i'm now taking 6mg half of the 12 and i have sex like 4 times a day. when i was on 25mg i completely lost my libido and almost killed myself so i went down to 12.5 and like i said am now taking half of that.. one thing paxil did for me it made me a stud!!! i use to be a one min man... my advise is to watch porn everyday until you keep your erection good luck bro......

well mine still isn't coming back!
I try and I still have no desire! Husband is frustrated ....of course there are other issues in our marriage that need work too...so this is just "another thing" to me! But man! This stinks! No desire! Nothing...no kind of romance, touching anything does anything for me! Like the song goes...I have become comfortably numb! ..just praying it doesn't lead to a divorce!

while i was on paxil for 2.5 years.. i had ABSOLUTLEY NO DESIRE to have sex..none at all..it was the last thing on my mind..but since i have been off..it has come back again..thank god..since i want to try to have a baby!!..

NoSexLifeThanksPaxil - since i've raised from 5mg back to 10mg again my libido went to the gutter again and my lower parts don't seem to respond sometimes....

It took at least 3 months off Paxil for me to feel sexually aroused again. But I think the desensitization went away immediately after stopping Paxil.
I looked up that Enzyte because I was curious what was in it. It contains: ribulus terrestris extract (10% saponins) (stem and fruit), Panax ginseng root extract (4% ginsenosides), Ginkgo biloba leaf 6:1 extract, vegetable cellulose, Swedish flower pollen extract, Avena sativa (aerial parts), zinc gluconate, L-arginine HCl, maca root, saw palmetto berry, niacin, zinc citrate, zinc oxide, horny goat weed extract (Epimedium sagittatum)(10% flavonoids as icariin) (whole plant), copper oxide, muira puama stem 4:1 extract, copper gluconate, and octacosanol. I guess most of it is herbal. But have read studies on the L-arginine which shows a lot of promise for treating sexual dysfunction. It's an amino acid that increases blood flow. Paxil does just the opposite - slows blood flow.

well I have tapered since October and the other night I had a reunion as such with my old bf who only knew me on full dosage and he almost fell off the kitchen bench (and me) when I had my first orgasm in about three years!
It will come back - I am so lucky I am there already considering I am still on 5mg - god forbid what I will be like in another few months!! Hold onto your hats gentleman hahaaaa
