Although we already have two wonderful resources for information on Paxil and Paxil Withdrawal, which consist of our discussion forum and our Paxil Withdrawal Guide (currently being edited for printing), sometimes it's quicker and easier to refer you to a single source of information. This FAQ will be the quickest and easiest condensed version of information everyone will be free to access, recommend and link to.

This FAQ is designed to look like a forum section, in that there will be main topic threads, and posts within those threads. Each thread will be a CATEGORY for questions & answers, and each post within those threads are a Q&A exchange. So a sample thread title will look like:
Quote:
Before you begin to withdraw
and a Q&A post will look like:
Quote:
Should I tell my doctor of my intention?
Of course! In fact, you shouldn't intend to withdraw without first consulting with a medical professional.

And so on.
The FAQ will be updated frequently in terms of structure and content. You are free to subscribe to any or all threads in the FAQ so that you can get automatic e-mail notification of when an update has occured. This is the best way for you to stay on top of areas of concern.

If we have any new instructions on how to best use the FAQ, or if we have any special announcements, they will be found at the very top of the forum, in the announcements section as you may have seen before in the rest of the forum.

You are strongly encouraged to bookmark this FAQ section, subscribe to threads of great interest to you (just click on Forum Tools and click on Subscribe to this thread once you're viewing a thread), and TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE FAQ! Let everybody you know who would benefit from real world experience based information on Paxil and Paxil withdrawal. We are a community of people who have gone through it all and can tell you exactly how Paxil and Paxil withdrawal can affect your life. It's what paxilprogress exists to do. Paxil can create positive and negative experiences, and it's fair that you (and help others to) increase your/their awareness so that fewer surprises are had.

This FAQ is not intended and should not serve as a replacement for qualified medical care. Its purpose is to be a source of inspiration and perspectives that you may not have considered before. It’s meant to widen the boundaries you may have built around yourself.

This FAQ is a snapshot in time of experiences and information disseminated by the paxilprogress community. Just as any other human being grows, details and experiences change. This FAQ will change.

This document is an invitation for you to grow by contrasting and comparing personal experience and knowledge with your own, until you find your peaceful middle. Many of us have succeeded in finding joy, peace and freedom without the dependence of medications like Paxil using the ideas you’ll find in this FAQ.

We hope our experience can do the same for you, but remember that you are the miracle and the miracle worker. Thank yourself and be proud of any and all of your achievements as we have not caused them. We have perhaps only reminded you to cause them.

Who is this FAQ for?

Ask yourself:

If you want off Paxil(or any of the antidepressants) and would like to know what to expect and how to cope with several of its withdrawal symptoms, this FAQ will truly help.

If you're new to paxilprogress and want to get a large amount of useful real-world information before you jump into the Forum, this FAQ is definitely for you.

If you're on Paxil(or an antidepressant) or know somebody who is, this FAQ is also for you.

If you love FAQs, ask for them at Christmas time, and search the web for them, you've just found another one! Yipee! They're fantastic aren't they?
