Re: Good morning!!!!

Good morning Albert. I cannot recall, but if you have not read the FAQ page please do, it really is very helpful in your understanding as to what to expect. It will be hard for people to understand who have not taken these meds. What I suggest you do is referr them here, let them take a look. Show them some articles on withdrawal etc., so that they can better understand your situation. Take it one day at a time.

Re: Good morning!!!!

Feeling strange is an understatement! You might try tapering a little slower--go back up to 15 for awhile--but read through this website--see the Qs&As and what others have gone through. Also, compounded by the fact that those around us often don't understand. A couple of nights ago on FOX TV's program 'House" -- they showed what happened when Dr. House, addicted to pain killers tried to get off. Paxil is addictive, and some people can get off of it without any symptoms at all, but some of us go through what some people here call Paxhell. Stay tuned and report back on what's going on and be here for some great help and support.

Re: Good morning!!!!

Thanks Rita.... I guess I will be starting roller coaster adventure lol... I mean even when I was on the full strength of the medicine I would really lash out like I was a mad man or something. I felt like even though it is well lit in my home that everything felt fuzzy...

I think these damn doctors need to be more educated on this stuff... I felt after awhile from the Paxil it wasnt working anymore.. I used to be afraid to go into walmart cause of the crowds, well thats how I feel again.... I am afraid to leave the house... this is really crippling to me... I used to hate staying home now I am here all the time. And I sleep alot my folk and my brother must think I am really lazy.... LOL

Albert, get yourself some therapy to get over the crowd issue. I got real good advice on this forum, what my daughter did was every day went into a situation where she was not comfortable, the timing got longer and longer, eventually, she is out doing things that other children are doing..... and enjoying it! Unfortunately still has to work on a school environment.

Anyhow, she did this after the withdrawal took place, and was able to succeed, I just wish we had started sooner.

Good luck!
