Re: Does anyone know why?

maybe it's just because you and your body are tired...

i always wake up kind of "out of it" until i get up and
start my day. I feel like we all have to normalize a bit
until the dregs of sleep wear...

Re: last dose...

Congrats Lola!

There's a lot more to be happy about right now,
than there is to be unhappy about.

Focus on the good stuff, and your self esteem
will grow. Wishing you continued success...

Re: Caffine on a 5mg Taper...

Never was a problem for me.

For others I'm pretty sure it is.

So you'll probably just have to see what
category you fall into, and decide wheter
you should be drinking less, or none, or
just not...

Re: Combined w/ Alcohol Blackout...

Well... I seem to fit your description somewhat well...

During and after college I was definitely a drinker. Only
on the weekends... but when I drank, I would get
drunk.

I definitely hit the double...

Re: Embarassment = Zaps

OK... this is a total guess, but...

I always had the zaps when I moved my eyes.

Perhaps your moment of embarrassment caused
your eyes to flutter around more and faster. I
think when people are calm...

Re: ? on tapering

That makes TOTAL sense.

Was just reading about someone who
was using a nailfile to cut down by even
less than that.

If you find that your body is dealing with
it better when you go super slow -...

Re: feeling the difference on 6mg

Damama, why not go back to 7.5 for a while until you
normalize there...

Then cut down by less - either to 6.5 - or if that's too
much... then to 6.

There's no such thing as too slow with this drug,...

Re: Does anyone here have GOOD stories about coming off Paxil?

A Good Experience!

I went on Paxil for social anxiety after it was
recommended by my therapist. It definitely
made me feel better, although surely not a
cure-all (though no one really expects...

Re: I did'nt think I would be back

I don't know how alone I am here in this
suggestion, but I would really think that
going back on and taking it slow is the
way to go.

Cold turkey can be very difficult... and
very long. I know...

Re: Introduction...

Same here Kristen...

I was 99.9% physical symptom free the whole way
through withdrawal.

And it's been at least 6 months since with no problems.
I attribute that to the very slow taper. Try it...

Re: Zaps and withdrawal

What I did was go back to the last
dose I had no zaps at...

Then when my body normalized
again, I reduced the dropped a little
bit.

Zaps are telling you that you're
tapering too quickly. ...

Re: Oh *&^%$!!

Every morning when you wake up do
back stretches. Hug your knees to
your chest while on your back.

Then put your knees to the left with
your head and arms to the right, and
then switch.

Lie flat...

Re: Off paxil, now what do I do for anxiety??

I began Paxil for anxiety disorder as well.

It was recommended by my cognitive behavioral
therapist, who definitely helped. If you've never
tried it, I think that's a great place to start.

Gives...

Re: DON"T KNOW IF IT WILL HELP

Maybe a few... but most are TOTALLY unaware. They see patients with all sorts of side effects, and until there's a lot of repetition for a particular drug, they truly don't believe it's related (of...

A friend just told me that CR is off the market

Re: Stage: 40 days paxil free

I am past that stage -- probably about 5 months now,
but I'm almost 100% fine and have been at all stages
since being off.

(sometime I wake up with just the SLIGHTEST little zap)

How did all of you...

Re: Starting Taper from 20mgs

That's a pretty big drop, but hopefully your lack of time
on it will make that okay.

If it's too much... don't be surprised... but most of all,
don't worry.

You can just go back to 20mg for a few...

Re: Suicidal Again / Need Support

Dottie, why don't you put up a sign somewhere
in your house - a note in your nighttable - that
says, "IT COMES AND GOES SO FAST!"

So next time you feel this way, you have that
gentle reminder that...

Re: Withdrawal from first Paxil dose?

My first night I had a crazy dizzy spell that lasted about an hour.

Then it stopped, never to return.

But no, I would seriously doubt you'll have side effects if you stop now.
