Re: A video of a talk that I gave 5 years ago.

so touching scotty.

just watched it.

i cannot THANK YOU enough for running this website and the 10% taper.

it has and is saving my life.

my doctor also said to me what they said to Ryan ' he a big boy' so he needs a bigger dose.

when i dropped from 20mg- 15mg back in 2007 after three weeks i was going mad with the withdrawal symptoms. i went to the doc and at my heaviest i was about 160 pounds - i am five foot three.
he said 'you are a big woman so you need the 20mg'

LMAO

Re: A video of a talk that I gave 5 years ago.

Laurie, thank you so much for posting this and for moderating this site. Its saving (and has saved) so many lives. I KNOW it saved mine. I thought I was crazy until I found this site. I too gained almost 100lbs from Paxil use in 13 yrs. I tapered slow but not as slow as 10%. (I found this site 4 mnths post ssri's). I wonder why I got all the mental/psychological symptoms (of even constant suicide thoughts) about 4 mnths post as opposed to during wd. Aren't these symptoms part of wd? Obviously I'm done wd by 4 mnths post (most physical sytmptoms had subsided by the time the mental/psychological anguish began). This is why doctors say its NOT wd if this happens so far out from taking the last dose!

Remarkable talk, thanks for sharing. I'm still amazed that the problems with Paxil, and the difficulty weaning, doesn't get more attention, even years after so many experiences like yours.

Re: A video of a talk that I gave 5 years ago.

Thank you, Scotty, for posting this talk you gave. Even though I wasn't able to taper, this site has kept me alive. Having CT'd, I'm not recovered yet, but, I am making progress. This site has given me so much support and encouragement and HOPE. I can't thank you and everyone else connected with PP enough, but, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.......!

2005: up and down (feeling completely lost) , at that point found out about w/d. then tried a one mg/week taper from 30mg...unsuccessful
2006-09: chaos...several attempts to quit, poop-out, switch to other AD and others (Effexor,Lexapro,abilify..),
August 2009: finally drug-free after a final 6 months taper of effexor.
At 6 months out, started to slowly feel better!
