Can't afford liquid! How can I make 17.5 or 18 mgs?!

Hello,

I cannot afford the liquid form at this time (here in the US there is only brand name and runs aprox 120 USD with insurance)

I tried cutting a 20 mgs pill in 1/8 as to start tapering at 17.5 but I cannnot make it even... Any sugestions? Should I have the Dr. Prescribe 5 mgs and take 3 and a half daily as to equal 17.5? although my goal is 18 or 19 mgs right now, whitch seems impossible without the liquid.

Or has anyone here had experience with tapeing at 10% with pill forms!?

Thank you!

Or else I am going to be forced to go to 15 mgs for a couple months, then down to 10 a couple months, then hopefully I can afford the liquid at that point?

Hi. There is not a liquid luvox available. Here is what I do. I got a digital jewelry scale, 25-50 bucks on ebay, that measures very, very small milligrams. I first weighed several of my pills to see what the average weight was because there was a tiny difference, my average pill is 310 mgs in weight. So I calculated what the percentage I wanted to drop would weigh. This has been very helpful for me and kept things consistent. You can just shave small amounts of the pill with a nail file to get the desired weight.

Yes use the digital scale (0.001 mg) , a pill cutter and a nail file. Cut the pill close to the size, then shave using a nail file, I get to the exact milligrams as needed. Takes a little time but it is a lot of fun.
