Is any valarian good? Or are there differences?

When i looked into Magnesium i found out that there were a lot of different kind of magnesium. And that not all have the same effect. And that magnesium is best without calcium.

Are there also those kind of guidelines for Valarian? i couldnt find much info. is any bottle of Valarian pills i can buy good? Or what do i have to keep in mind?

And an important question: Can valarian be used safely with SSRis?? I read different things about it.

thanks for the info

I drink one cup of valerian and passionflower tea every evening. No negative effects, I like it.

Don't know about taking pills though.

But you are not on a SSRi anymore correct?

But you like it? It relaxes you?

Yes, i'm on Zoloft.

I don't know if it relaxes me or not, but my pharmacist recommended it and I like the way it tastes so I have 1 cup in the evening.

There is no 'magic' bullet that's going to make you feel better. You're your own magic bullet.

But, vallerian is known to have anxiolytic properties, which might relax you. I also sometimes like to have Chamomille tea before bed.

Hahaha well if there was a hell bullet (named paxil) that made me feel worse. Why is there no magic bullet that makes me feel better? ;-)

But i think it can perhaps calm my body. At this moment i dont have any panic attacks or much anxiety. But i can feel a lot of tension on my mind (like i wanna scream) and on my body. So perhaps valarian can help me with that. Anything that can make me feel better (only a bit) is worth it right?

I take Valerian Forte (Blackmore's) at night when I need to calm my nervous system. I find it excellent but... I can't take it every night because it tends to bring on constipation.

Bilo,

what is the name of the sleeping pill you are taking? With valerian, passionflower and melatonin?
